There hadn’t been a whole lot of talking going on since they had gotten engaged. She’d been busy making sure people were entertained and he’d been busy being
detained.
For what? She was never quite sure, she wasn’t part of
that world, she was part of his though, she knew the rough outlines of what went on and she knew it was a little dodgy. A couple of times she’d been warned, and every time all she thought was that he
was her world and everything felt right within it for the first time ever. Only that bit scared her.
The whole concept seemed crazy, very Ollie. Grand theft, full-throttle. Except it was all very different this time. Peace reigned. Was she in trouble? Oh yeah. Was Nate? Perhaps. Hopefully always the good kind. She’d been warned but she never wavered. This was the kind of love she’d always dreamed of. For richer
or richer. In sickness or in silence. Love and loyalty. Til one causes another’s death, no doubt.
She knew he loved every bone in her body, especially his.
She finally felt like she’d arrived home. Forever.
All she could do was stare. Mostly. 😏
